New Portrait Web Site Revealed!

I finally forced myself to finish my portrait website.  Seriously.....I have been putting this off for awhile and thanks to our family goal setting session - I can check this one off my list!  I should also thank Linda for getting a flu bug that forced me to clear my calendar for 2 days. Thanks for taking one for the team Linda!

{Candice Business Session} Seattle WA Business Portrait Photographer

Meet the fabulous and very fun Candice Caldwell of Brand Atelier, of Bellevue Washington. Candice specializes in building efficient brand strategies, relationship marketing plans, and new media strategies for start up and high growth companies.  I hired Candice to help me with my branding and in a few short hours she not only did that but also gave  me specific brand-centric strategies to grow my business.  She listens to your ideas and cheers you on, but she's not afraid to let you know if you are going in the wrong direction and she steers you back!    I was thrilled when she asked me to help her create amazing and fun images for her new company. Candice is also the Bellevue and Eastside Facilitator for Ladies Who Launch.   If you have a an exciting idea for a new business or just want to grow the business you are in now, I highly recommend the Incubator Workshop!  This program was a huge catalyst for change in my business and I still meet with the fabulous women from the incubator that I participated in over a year and a half ago!

Updating her Professional Head Shots at Gas Works Park

I met Linda a little over a year ago at a Crave/Ladies Who Launch networking event.  One of the activities at this event was to partner up and share your career/life goals. Linda and I partnered and she shared  (and I am paraphrasing) how she wanted to help femal business owners to reach their potential.  Well, here she is, a year later at the Market Director for Ladies Who Launch! And doing a fabulous job I might add!

Ladies Who Launch will have booths 506,509, and 510 at the Northwest Women's Show on March 4 - 7th.

For more information on Ladies Who Launch you can go to:

You can also find them on Facebook  (Ladies Who Launch Seattle)

Business Head Shots for Lizzie Parker - Modern Dressmaker

I had the pleasure to meet and photograph Lizzie and Angus this morning. When I first arrived, I was welcomed by Angus, an adorable bulldog and official greeter of the store. Lizzie's studio is fresh, fun, and light-filled, the pefect setting for our session. Lizzie's designs are featured in Daily Candy, WWD, Lucky Magazine, InStyle, Seattle Metropolitan, and the CW's Project Green. Now she has fabulous head shots to go with all the press that she is receiving!

Click here to find out more about Lizzie and her designs.

By the time I was ready to leave, Angus was snoring loudly in his bed, proving you can never have too much beauty sleep! :)

New and Improved Referral Program

Looking back at all the years that I have been a photographer, I can say that about 90% of my clients are referred to me from current clients. This is so cool and such a great compliment! I am extremely grateful for all the support and appreciation and in turn want to make my referral program even easier to use. So from now on when you refer someone to me I will mail you a $25 print credit referral card after your referral books their photography session with me. All of your print credit cards can be saved and added together as long as they are used within one year of the postmark date they were received. Please take good care of your print credit referral cards – as they will be required to receive your credit. Last but not least, there is no limit to the number of referrals you make to Alison Jensen Photography, so feel free to take advantage of this offer as often as you like!

Professional head shots can be fun! I'm not kidding! My goal is for you to be relaxed and having a good time so that we can capture the true you. If that means bringing a friend and sharing the session, then I am all for it! This was the case for Anne and Jen. These ladies are fabulous and fun, and the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland was a perfect location for our session. Here are my favorite images:

Anne is a perfect blend of analytical and abstract….her sharp wit seriously cracks me up. Do you see a hint of that in her picture? I wanted it to be professional – but not too serious….there is just a hint of mischievousness there.

Jen is such a classy lady –balancing the creative and fun with a wealth of wisdom in her field – talking with her uplifts me. I wanted her head shot to express her warmth and sense of fun – yet still be professional.

Here are a few more of my favorites of Anne:

A few more favorites or Jen.....

I love to capture laughter……so those images always seem to make it into my favorite's folder.

At the end of their session, the tables were turned, or I should say, the camera was turned…..on me! They laughed and laughed….. watching me squirm at being in front of the camera and not behind it.

Jennifer's Fabulous Photo Session at the very modern and hip Januik Winery.

It really is so much fun to photograph beautiful people in beautiful locations. Here are a few of my favorite images from my photo session with Jennifer last Friday.

FYI: Jennifer is an amazing wedding and special event planner and educator and also a ton of fun to be around. If you are engaged to be married and not sure what to do next...she has a class just for you! This class will be offered at Lake Washington Technical College this coming July and will offer information on the entire wedding process, from creating a budget and wedding day timeline to the last dance of the night.

Jennifer had a quick errand at Chateau Ste. Michelle so I kept myself busy taking pictures of glasses.....
