More from San Diego...
Okay - so i guess I did get one sunset picture. I took this at the Marine Base which is right next the airport. Our original plan was to go bowling on the base until I had to leave for my flight - but that didn't work out. So we drove around the base and that's when this scene appeared.

Of course we needed to get some pictures of Alex - I should dig up some of his toddler pictures to compare....I bet he'd love that!

Steph was a great model - very relaxed in front of the camera, that was really nice.

A bed of clovers to pose in.....just in time for St. Patrick's Day!

Soggy San Diego!!

I couldn't believe it – I left soggy Seattle for some sun and surf in San Diego and what didI get?!! Rain!! I mean seriously, how many days out of the year does it rain in San Diego?! That’s okay – I had such a good time visiting with one of my cherished friends.
There is just something so warm and comfortable about an “old” friend. They know everything about you and still like you anyway!(LOL) So for 3 days Carrie and I shopped, got our nails done, went out to lunch, drove to the beach, stayed up late, slept in late and just hung out and talked for hours. It was much needed girlfriend time and I am so grateful that she let me come down!

Okay now for the photography side....I really, really wanted to play around with sunset pictures and sun flares while I was there. I even practiced a sun flare picture on my flight - I would have never have guessed that this would be my ONLY sun flare picture of my trip. We did go down to La Jolla (one of my favorite San Diego beaches) and I was able to take some fun beach pictures.

I remember holiding "baby" Steph in my arms......now a beautiful young woman!

21 Years together....oh the stories I could tell......

I thought this metal bar was really cool. Anyway....I'll post more pictures tomorrow. Really!!!

Senior Rainy Day Session
Wow! Brittany was such a good sport. We were hoping for a clear afternoon and instead got rain, wind, and cold! We did find some fun areas to take pictures - mostly, I have to admit - we were looking for shelter from the weather!

I love Brittany's great smile - in fact, that great smile is the reason we were out braving the cold weather! She wanted to wait until her braces were off before her Senior photo session - patience definately paid off!
This is great little park in downtown Kent - we were hiding under the trees!

Brittany is "on track" for graduation.......okay, that was a little lame. :)

I blew out the colors with this image for a little bit more of a dramatic affect.

Babies!

Four beautiful babies - all born within a few weeks of each other. I hurried and set up my studio lights for the "birthday suit" picture and then we started our session in Sophia's bedroom with great natural light streaming in from the window. Of course it is always a quite a circus trying to get four pairs of eyes to look at the camera at the same time. The parents were a big help with a lot of animal sounds and singing.

Two of my nephews.... I can't remember if I posted these images on my blog but they are my favorites from their family session in September.

Rylee is a big sister now....

Going through some old pictures I found Rylee's 6 month picture.... now her brother has joined in the fun with his 6 month picture!

FSN Stars Celebrity Swing For Kids TournamentThis is the 2nd year that I have been invited by First Tee of Seattle to photograph this golf tournament. What amazing weather we had this year - and as always, Snoqualmie Ridge http://www.tpcsnoqualmieridge.com/ made for a beatiful back drop. I was again assisted by my daughter, Linda, and we enjoyed a fun day together. Linda has really enjoyed the benefits of being part of the First Tee Golf program http://www.thefirstteeseattle.org/ and is always willing to give back. The following are a few of my favorite images from the day. If you want to see all of the images from this event click on this link:

Senior Ryan

I had a great time working with Ryan. I really have to give a lot of credit to him though - he smiled like a champ through the entire session! For his session we decided to visit a local park near my home and then finish at Coulon beach park. It was ironic that the first sesion we scheduled was canceled because of rain and on this evening we were in the very bright, beautiful and somtimes photographically, challenging sunshine.

I loved that Ryan was so willing to explore different areas for pictures.... even at the risk of falling in the lake!!
